Every year, we make our own flower arrangements for All Saints’ Day. I think it started when I went to college and stayed in a dormitory for girls near the famous flower market, Dangwa. Last year, our parents were too busy to go, so we had to buy the flowers, other ornaments, decorative leaves, floral foams and baskets ourselves.
This day, Mama Mary visited our house and stayed for a week. At the end of her stay, she would have to be transferred to another home, but we couldn’t let her go without flowers. What better way to thank her than to make the flower arrangement ourselves?
