When I feel inspired, that’s when I get to paint the pieces that I come to love the most, then I put them up on my Wall of Weird (Smallville reference). These then give me inspiration every single waking moment of my life. They give my days that extra ooomph that I need! 🙂

This was a watercolor version of the painting I made of the famous slogan for the movie/book, The Fault in our Stars. I did this right after crying my heart out when I finished the book and saw the movie (on the same day). I was even listening to the soundtrack to make it even more heartfelt. Then when I was confident enough, I painted it on a canvas which became the third masterpiece on my wall. I know, I know, these aren’t as special as the ones in the Louvre or in MoMA, but to me, these silenced the voices of doubt in my head.

“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced”

-Vincent Van Gogh
